Ben is already 4 months old! Wow, how time flies. He is still the happiest baby. He hardly ever cries, unless I leave him in the crib too long after naps. Otherwise, he just "complains" as I call it when he wants something. It is just his usual noises with a definite negative tone to them. That is usually my cue that he is tired and ready for his next nap.
Ben is developing so quickly. He already rolls over both directions. And worse than that he is already starting to scoot himself around on his stomach by pushing with his toes. I'm amazed at how quickly he is doing this since his sister didn't do this until she was at least 6 months old. He is super strong for his age. He loves to stand and can bear pretty much all of his weight on his legs. He also likes to sit up, but can't sit by himself yet.
He has gotten so big that they can't take a heel prick from him anymore to draw blood. Now they have to use an ultrasound to find a vein. His last hematology appointment required him to be pricked 3 times before they finally were able to get blood. He was not a happy camper then.
He loves his big sister, and always has the biggest smile when he sees her. Luckily the feeling seems mutual, and Emilee dotes on her baby brother. She likes to spend time every day playing with him, which sometimes is a little annoying for me because she doesn't quite know how to play softly with him. I tried to teach her to pull him around on his back by his feet, but she ended up giving him a rug burn on his head that bled- whoops! I thought it was better than her trying to pull him around by his arms.
Ben loves his stomach. He sleeps on his belly and if placed on his back at any time he will roll over onto his stomach within seconds. I don't have to worry about "tummy time" with him. Emilee loves to help him roll over all of the time, so I am sure that has helped his rolling back to his stomach practice.
We love watching this guy grow.
