Easter this year was pretty low key. We got up and went to church, leaving all Easter celebrations till after 9 a.m. church. Ben and Emilee wore their Easter outfits to church, and then we took pictures after.
After we took pictures the kids opened their Easter bags. Emilee got a whole new outfit, including jelly shoes and sunglasses. She also got some necklaces and play shoes. Ben got an outfit and rattle.
After Em's nap we went outside to hunt for the plastic eggs. We hid 18 eggs around the backyard. Emilee loved finding the eggs, and didn't even stop to eat any of the jelly beans inside them.
After the egg hunt we had a family dinner of ham and baked potatoes. And we all enjoyed jelly beans and reese's eggs for dessert.
(My mom traded out our Easter baskets for Easter gift bags halfway through my childhood because they were easier to store. I loved the idea and got a bag for Emilee last year. Then I decided I could easily sew a bag to make it more personal. So I tackled that this year and I love how it turned out, especially since I winged it).
