| I love Emilee in this dress. |
Em's stats: 15 lbs 6.5 oz. (4%) and 17 inches (34%). The doctor walked in and said "She's still small, but that's okay." Yep it is, she's a Shore little girl and won't be very big. She fits in her 6 month outfits, but none of her 9 month clothes yet. She is our petite little girl.
Here is what Emilee can do now, a lot of which she picked up just last week:
Crawls quickly
Claps her hands
Feeds herself food
Pulls herself up on everything, including the crib, bookshelf, fishtank stand, and even the wall.
Walks along things she pulls up on
Walks holding onto hands
Tries to climb the stairs (can't get her legs onto the first step yet, luckily)
Can get herself down from standing gracefully
Things about Emilee I want to remember at this stage:
She makes this adorable little snort face when she is excited, including the noise.
She immediately zones in when we have any food. She crawls right over and expects to be fed. She eats our plums, peaches, and anything else we are willing to share.
She isn't super interested in toys, she just loves to explore and pull up on things. She pulls up on everything and gets into everything. Nothing is safe anymore.
She makes all sorts of growling noises, and since she gets into everything, we call her our little monster.
She licks anything she pulls up on.
She loves petting cats and dogs, but most other animals haven't drawn an interest yet.
She is no longer a fan of having her diaper changed, so I usually have to give her something to hold her interest so she doesn't cry while I change her.
Emilee is growing up so fast. She is learning things faster than I can keep up with. It is so amazing to watch her just figure it out one day. I swear she never really tried to pull herself up, she just suddenly could do it. We enjoy watching her grow and learn and figure it won't be long before she is off and running us in circles.
