Nursery Project #1- Completed

My parents gave me this dresser when I got married. Since getting a bedroom set for the master it has sat empty in the office. With a little one on the way it was time to make it functional again, but it needed some definite sprucing up. It is over 20 years old. I decided not to re-stain it because I was afraid of the work, plus I can't strip it while pregnant. So i bought some multi-function primer, paint and drawer pulls.
Here is the before (it had all of its drawers, I'd just removed them before I took the picture)
Now, primer and 2 coats of paint later:
It is a little more chocolate brown than I was thinking, but I like how it turned out. Hopefully it blends well with the other nursery furniture. I was filled with trepidation over painting a dresser brown. I knew painting one white or black looked great, but wasn't sure how brown would turn out. I really do like it and am pleased with the results. Next project- figuring out how to paint the nursery.
