This is the rumor apparently going around at my school right now. I have been out sick all of this week so far and the students sure do like to make stuff up. I've never been on the end of the rumors before though. I must say it is kind of fun.
For all of you that do not know, I officially have the swine flu. Gotta love those germy students. I came down with a fever Sunday night and when the fever was still around on Tuesday I went to the doctor. The results came back positive for influenza A, of which swine flu is the only one currently going around. I have orders to not return to work until I have been symptom free for 24 hours. And to take my Tamiflu for the next 5 days. So I guess I will just sleep in, lounge on the couch and drink my juice. All while my students continue to speculate as to what happened to poor Mrs. Hunsaker. Maybe by next Monday, when I figure I will return, they will have me dead and buried in the local cemetary. Hahaha.
Don't worry I am already starting to feel better. I haven't had a fever all day so now I just need to kick this cough. I'll just keep enjoying my little vacation from school.

Can you share? I would love to have a legitimate excuse to stay home from school. (My dept chair seems to think 5 days of jury duty was excessive.)
What kind of rumors are going around?? I love the stuff those kids come up with sometimes. I get some funny comments about why they were absent or where their homework went. At least they have good imaginations if nothing else!
That sounds kind of fun to think of having an entire month off...where do kids come up with this stuff?

Just have to comment--the boy in the photo is actually LDS. His Mom is our RS Pres in So. Cali. and his Grandpa took the picture 24 years ago. It was on his Facebook, a year ago...now he's famous. Anyway.
