Thoughts on Michael Jackson

Cheesy as it may be here are my (Chris) thoughts on Michael Jackson:

(1) The first CD I ever owned (Christmas present from my parents) was the Jackson 5's greatest hits (I think I own all his CD's now)
(2) As a kid I had the Thriller dance memorized and would dance it in my living room.
(3) For an elementary school talent show I recreated his Super Bowl halftime show dance (including the moon walk).
(4) For that same talent show I sang "Gone Too Soon" off the album Dangerous.
(5) He obviously had a lot of problems (at the end of his life he looked like a porcelain doll) but I always felt sorry for him and thought there were deep underlying mental problems that led to his erratic and strange behavior. He seemed to be a sad, lonely, shy figure always trying to relive a childhood he never had. He seemed to desperately and sincerely want to make things right but seemed to only make things worse.
(6) I'll always remember him for his great talent, ability, and music and I think the world will too. He's one of the biggest music stars of all time with the Beatles and Elvis.

All I can bring myself to say is "Wow!". And NOT as an expression of amazed admiration.

Hi Hayley! I love your pics! It looks like you guys are having fun in Houston- we also spent much time as kids dancing to MJ. Do you remember rollerblading to his music in my driveway. So sad. Hope all is well!
